MEMBERSHIP IN THE ONTARIO & WESTERN RAILWAY HISTORICAL SOCIETY, INC.

Regular Membership
will bring you (2) OBSERVER Publications, one which includes
the O&WRHS's Calendar and the MOUNTAINEER newsletters
for a year. Sustaining Membership brings you both publications
and gives you the satisfaction of helping to aid the Society's
historical activities.
Your dues can include membership in our
parent organization, the NATIONAL RAILWAY HISTORICAL SOCIETY.
With nearly 20,000 members, the NRHS is America's largest and
best-known rail historical organization. Through rail excursions
and the renowned NRHS Annual Convention you can meet many people
with interests like yours. You'll also receive the bi-monthly
NATIONAL RAILWAY BULLETIN which contains fascinating articles
on railroad history throughout the nation, just as the OBSERVER
does for the O&W. NRHS membership identifies you as a serious
rail historian and not just a "train buff."
Contributions are always welcome, and may
be tax-deductible. We offer special works of art and other O&W-related
items as premiums for donations to our Archives Fund - please
ask for details. Reprints of some of our archival material, as
well as original NYO&W paper goods and OBSERVER back issues,
are offered in our Sales List. It's available for the asking.
Please
come to one of our activities and meet our officers and members. We meet at
7:30 p.m. on the first Friday of each month (except July, August and
November) at the Senior Center at 65-70 West Main Street in Middletown,
NY. A railroading program follows a short business meeting. Guests and
prospective members are always welcome. In case of inclement weather the
meeting will be postponed one week. Our annual banquet is held on a Saturday
in November. But you don't have to be near Middletown to enjoy Society
membership - our 750 members live in more than 35 states and
several countries!
Whatever your interest is in the O&W
- whether you or your family worked for it, rode on it, lived
near it, or are just fascinated by it - the Ontario & Western
Railway Historical Society extends a cordial invitation for you
to join us. If you have any other questions
regarding membership or about the form on the next page, please
contact our membership chairman
Ray
Pinglora. You can also contact Ray for your
